London Fashion Week Ones To Watch Show

The ones to watch show is always one that is highly anticipated. It has been known in the past to have launched the careers of some of London's biggest design names and each year it delights with the high level of design talent showcased.

YEASHIN opened the show with a bright and colourful collection that looked as if it could have come from the pages of a Korean folk story. Beautiful embellishment and lots of texture, the collection really stood out and showed off the designer's technical skills. The collection also featured some key trends for the season including roll neck jumpers, something that has been a common theme in New York Fashion week.

Patrick Li followed on from YEASHIN with a completely different collection. Bright colours were replaced with grey, black and white and the free, whimsical silhouettes became asymmetric and tailored.

Finally Yulia Kondranina closed the show with a collection that was dramatic and spectacular. Severe looking models were dressed in delicate fringing that trailed gracefully behind them as they walked along the catwalk. Black was a key colour for the collection, occasionally being broken up by zesty oranges and yellows.

Overall, the 'Ones to Watch' show proved once again that the talent, creativity and skill that young designers possess just keeps getting better each season. I look forward to see where these designers end up next season and of course, who will be taking their place in the show.
