Goddess in St. Tropez was the title given to Ekatarina's SS13 collection and it could not have been closer to the truth. The title is enticing enough, everyone that knows me will know that I love the Riviera lifestyle, so as soon as I saw the title of the collection, I just knew I was onto a winner.
Inspired by Brigitte Bardot and her St. Tropez lifestyle during the 60's, Ekaterina focusses on the simple shapes of the garments and the luxury feel of the fabrics against the skin allowing her to imitate the ease at which Brigitte was able to pull off any look regardless of the location. The collection boasts a wide range of garments and consists of beachwear, light dresses, jackets, coats, trousers and matching accessories which reflect the style and personality of Brigitte Bardot through the shapes and colours used.
Sensuality and texture play a huge role in this collection and that is why, at closer look, you can see that Ekaterina incorporates different structures, such as ribs, pleats and weaving techniques into her designs. Colour also helps to awaken the senses and transport you into the glittering world of 1960's St. Tropez allowing the wearer to experience that luxury holiday feel we all love.
From this collection, it is possible to see that once again, Ekaterina stays true to her trademark style and keeps her focus on the attention to detail within the whole collection.
