There is something special about a good denim jacket. Once you have found one that fits you, it is crucial that you treasure it for life. They are a wardrobe staple and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
Customising a denim jacket is one of the easiest and most effective DIYs around and the results can completely transform an outfit. Whilst browsing the American Eagle store in Westfield I stumbled upon this classic cut, distressed denim jacket which had an almost oversized feel to it. I knew as soon as I saw it that it was calling out for some DIY goodness.
In collaboration with the new fashion eCommerce app, Spree, I set to work on the jacket, transforming it into an Ashish worthy garment. It was sequins galore! Using an appliqué patch purchased off Etsy, I sewed around the exposed edges and within seconds I had turned an American classic into a 90s throwback masterpiece.
