LCM | VELSVOIR
On Saturday, the serene and luxurious Café Royal, located on London's Regent Street became home to the launch of Velsvoir's Spring Summer 2016 collection.
This season offered a throwback to what brought Velsvoir into the spotlight nearly five years ago, the bow tie. However, instead of appearing around the necks of all the sharply dressed models, the bow tie made an appearance in polka dot form, on the bespoke printed fabrics used to make Veslvoir's iconic 3 piece suits and accessories. The print, aptly named 'Bowkadot' also appeared on a custom made blazer which was unveiled at the event to celebrate Café Royal's 150 year anniversary.
To accommodate the heat of the long summer months, lightweight wool, cotton and jersey have been used to create the garments, My favourite outfit was the pale blue and cream seersucker suit worn by model Jay Grainger. It is so easy to imagine this look at on of the Great Gatsby's many garden parties and it looks great with the white bowkadot bow tie.
Overall, this collection really shows off the innovative designs that the Velsvoir brothers work hard to create. From reworked bow ties to extra pointy lapels, there is no detail that is left unnoticed. Next summer is set to be the season of the bowkadot.
