This summer the beauty world saw something quite unexpected occur in the world of hairdressing. It was called 'Splashlights'.
The term was coined by the creator of the trend, Aura Friedman who wanted to give the illusion of a laser beam hitting the surface of the hair, giving it a lighter appearance. The new style caused waves of emotion in the beauty world as people tried to find their viewpoint on this drastic look.
The look is created by applying bleach in a horizontal line to the undermost layers or the hair working to the top. Then dye is added to the areas above and below the bleach to reflect the natural hair hue of the client.
We absolutely adore the look and are eager to see more people attempt it across the pond here in London. What are your views?
