This week, DUO, a footwear brand from the West of England held their SS13 press day at London's Hospital Club.
Journalists and bloggers swarmed to the exclusive London location where they were met by the ladies from Octane PR who showcased next season's styles and told the interesting story about how the brand began.
Hailing from a small Roman market town called Bath, DUO was set up by the fashion retailers Ted and Muffy Maltby in 1974. In 2003 they launched their first range of tailored boots allowing women to find the perfect fit of boots whatever size calf they have. Today they have a strong global presence online and shops in London, Bath, Edinburgh and Manchester.
Their SS13 collection is inspired by luxurious island living which is reflected through the use of opulent, buttery soft leathers and a vivid colour palette. Metallics, snake skin, suede and animal print are the key fabrics for the season covering a wide range of silhouettes. My favourite styles from the collection include the fiery orange peep toe ballet flats and the tan suede heeled brogues both of which are perfect for running around the city in summer.
The collection will start appearing in stores gradually from the 3rd December with the main summer line dropping in early 2013.
