Menswear Monday: Is Oliver Proudlock London's New Style Icon?

For those of you who spend your Monday evenings curled up on the sofa watching Made In Chelsea, you will already be very familiar with the name Oliver Proudlock. However, he is not just a pretty face, he is also a successful entrepreneur and an accomplished artist.

Graduating from Newcastle University in 2010 with a BA Hons in Fine Art, Oliver has already had his work shown in 8 exhibitions across the United Kingdom and is now taking his creative talents into the world of fashion.

In April 2011, Oliver launched his fashion label, Serge DeNimes, offering 10 limited edition t-shirts printed with a series of photos from the prominent photographer, Lena Proudlock. The photos, taken in 1978, showcase Rio's carnival and the rich array of culture and style surrounding it. Today, the line is stocked in Harrods, Wolf & Badger and Joseph.

Oliver's foray into fashion doesn't just stop there. This month, after receiving numerous questions about where he sources his clothes, Oliver launched his own style blog called Proudlock Style. On the blog, he showcases his personal style through photos and captions detailing where to buy the clothes shown.

Dedicated followers of Menswear Monday know just how critical we can be but looking through Proudlock Style, it is clear to see Oliver Proudlock is fluent the art of dressing. Each look is styled to perfection without it looking over done and the mix of casual and smart creates quirky looks that reflect London's rich and diverse culture.
