Menswear Monday: Thom Browne Becomes Thom Grey
American fashion designer, Thom Browne has announced that he will be launching a cheaper diffusion line called Thom Grey. The collection has been created with the idea of making his designs more accessible to his audience with a more casual, youth orientated aesthetic.
This collection will bring a 40 to 50-percent price reduction to Browne’s signature Oxford shirts, tailored jackets and rugged outerwear, all in a series of American sportswear-inspired pieces designed to appeal to a more sensible and fashion-savvy consumer. However, instead of a strong emphasis on structured outerwear, Thom Browne chooses to design softer jackets (like the Letterman jacket pictured above) and a well-rounded assortment of wool and cotton knit pieces.
Thom Grey will be sold exclusively at key retailers like Barneys New York, Harrods, and I.T boutiques in both Hong Kong and Beijing.
