Monsieur Mauro Monthly Post: Trench Coats

L'idea è partita da Viktor&Rolf. Nella sfilata parigina per la collezione primavera 2011 tra i primi modelli c'era questo outfit semplice, con colori chiari e tenui, ma il punto forte è la cintura. La cintura non è altro che una cintura rubata dal classico e intramontabile trench. Una genialata!
E di trench nell'articolo di questo mese io voglio parlare.
Il trench, devo ammetterlo, almeno in Italia non è mai stato molto utilizzato, forse per via del clima, o troppo caldo o troppo freddo, ma altrove è un capo d'abbigliamento cult, basti pensare all'Inghilterra o comunque il nord Europa.
Il trench nasce come cappotto per i militari di guerra (trench coat, cioè cappotto di trincea), e nel 1901 Burberry (storia secolare la sua) creò il primo modello, ed è da qui che il marchio inizia la sua ascesa in tutto il mondo.
Il trench, evitando troppi preamboli storici, è un impermeabile con alcune caratteristiche salienti come le spalline, il doppiopetto, il sottogola, e la cintura (utilizzata come cintura nei pantaloni da Viktor&Rolf). Oggi i colori per i trench sono svariati e alcuni anche molto accesi, ma il classico color beige chiaro o (greige come direbbe Giorgio Armani) rimane il preferito di molti.
Materiali semplici come cotone, popeline o pelle per chi vuole azzardare.
Item molto ecclettico e versatile, utilizzato per riparare più dalla pioggia e dal vento, che dal freddo invernale. Può essere indossato sia in maniera formale, come manager, business men nella downtown della città, sia in modo informale, completamente slacciato, magari con i risvolti e con un semplie blu jeans, che da l'aria di vissuto al look. 
Come anche per l'altro articolo sulle espadrillas, ogni dietro capo d'abbigliamento c'è il nome di un grande marchio, che ha ideato, disegnato, modellato, fatto con mano quel singolo pezzo diventato famoso e unico nella moda, Burberry, come ho detto prima, è il leader nel trench. Sono pezzi unici i suoi e in ogni collezione c'è qualche particolare nuovo che rende il trench ancora più irresistibile.

The idea came from Viktor & Rolf. The Viktor&Rolf fashion show in Paris for the 2011 Spring/Summer collection. Among the first models this outfit was amazing, with simple and soft colors, glossy black shoes, but 'la crème de la crème' is the belt. The belt is nothing more than a belt stolen from the classic and timeless trench coat. A genius!
And trench coat is what I want to talk about this month. 
The trench coat, I must admit, at least in Italy has never been widely used, perhaps because of the climate, or too hot or too cold, but elsewhere it is a cult item of clothing, just think of England or northern Europe 
The trench coat comes from the military war (trench coat, coat used in trenches), and Burberry in 1901 (its secular history) created the first model, and it is from here that this english label began its rise around the world .
The trench, avoiding too many historical preambles, is a raincoat with a few salient features such as shoulder pads, the double-breasted, the chin strap, and the belt (used as a belt in pants from Viktor & Rolf's show). 
Today, the colors for trenches are different: some are very bright, but the classic beige (or greige, as Giorgio Armani would say) remains the favorite of many. 
Simple materials such as cotton, poplin or leather for those who want to venture. 
Very eclectic and versitile item; it is used to repair from rain and wind, but not for severe winter cold. It can be worn in a formal way, as a manager, business men in downtown, both in an informal way, completely unlaced, with the cuffs and a simple blue jeans, which gives a vintage air to the look. 
As for the other article on espadrilles, behind every item of clothing there is a great brand name, which he conceived, designed, shaped, hand-made that single piece of item that became famous and unique in fashion, and Burberry, as I said before, is the leader in the trench market.They are unique and in each collection there are some particular details that makes new trench coats even more compelling.
