It was nearly a year ago that the news of Karl Lagerfeld's Little Black Jacket exhibition became the only thing the fashion crowd could talk about. Now the photos have arrived at London's Saatchi Gallery and I implore you to take a look at them.
With only three days left of the exhibition before it moves on to Moscow, it is definitely something to incorporate into your weekend plans. The exhibition although modest in size offers a stunningly beautiful view of society's elite. Floor to ceiling length portraits of models, actresses, musicians and many more creative personalities fill the gallery and the darkness of the moody black and white film juxtaposes nicely with the stark white walls making your focus on the subject even greater.
Curated by Carine Roitfeld and photographed by Lagerfeld himself the exhibition brings together people of all ages and backgrounds, uniting them through Chanel's classic little black jacket. Be it worn as bodice to a dress, casually hung from the shoulders or done up to the top, however the jacket is worn it exudes a presence unlike any other garment. It is a true classic.
